About thirty heads of small and medium-sized businesses in the kingdom visited the production sites of PPM and Confirel on June 1 in preparation for the 2023 Entrepreneurship Prize organized, among other actors, by the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (INEI), of which Confirel and PPM were the winners, respectively in 2021 (1st prize) and 2022 (2nd prize).
This visit came at the conclusion of a three-day training course organized by the INEI. Hym Piseth, deputy managing director of the PPM-Confirel group in charge of general administration and human resources and director of the Confirel factory, and Sakett Seila, assistant to Dr Hay Ly Eang, founder and CEO of the Group, presented to these business leaders the major stages in the history of the Group and its vision of the role of business in the development of the country.
Sakett Seila particularly insisted on the commitment of the two companies for the independence of the country in the health and food fields.
Mr. Khuo Vanny, professor and representative of INEI and head of the delegation, pointed out that Confirel and PPM were among the leading companies in Cambodia and that their products were known internationally. He also noted that they had been repeatedly awarded international prizes.
After a visit to the production lines, which made some people say that they thought they were in companies from major industrial countries, the business leaders were invited to taste the authentic Khmer products that have made the international notoriety of Confirel.
